Company profile
History
Established in July 1998 by its president Stéphane Legastelois, Indicia Biotechnology has in its ten years of existence successfully transitioned from the status of a start-up to that of a rapidly-growing SME.
At its inception, the company focused on the development of custom-designed latex-based microparticle laboratory reagents. The company was thus able to acquire a specific know-how, since well acknowledged, in the processes related to binding of biological analytes on solid substrates (microparticles, microplates, membrane).
At the same time, Indicia Biotechnology has also dedicated its efforts towards the development of a method to quantify the Naegleria fowleri amoeba in environmental waters.
Over the years, the company has built and enhanced its business model by optimally positioning itself so as to engage in providing R&D service capabilities targeted at bio-industrial companies favourable towards partially or entirely outsourcing their projects.
