Coated beads

Since its creation, Indicia Biotechnology has developed and consolidated a specific skill for attaching biomolecules to the surface of microparticles

Microspheres are very interesting to use

  • Many benefits :
  • High reactive surface,
  • Low volume of sample and analytes needed,
  • Chemically active surface,
  • Heterogeneous reactinal phase,
  • Colloidal suspension…
  • Versatile : reagents used in a wide range of in vitro technologies
  • Immunoassays on biochemical or clinical analysis instruments,
  • Immunochromatographic tests,
  • Agglutination tests,
  • Magnetic separation method,
  • and so on…

Our offer

Indicia Biotechnology is known as an expert in the development and manufacturing of micro and nanoparticle based-reagents (bead coupling/conjugation).
Our unique know-how and experience allows us to select the best support for your final application: we follow your precise specifications, or we can also help you to choose the characteristics for the best support:

  • size: from few nanometers to several microns,
  • surface: plain or modified such as -COOH, -NH2, -OH, …
  • hydrophobicity,
  • nature of the beads : magnetic, fluorescent, dyed, white,
  • binding protocol adapted to your final application,
  • definition of the density for binding analytes.

Indicia Biotechnology adapts to your needs, using microparticles from varied nature:

  • magnetic: main applications are immunoassays, high throughput screening, cell sorting, rapid tests, bacteria detection, and so on…

  • latex/polystyrene: particularly suited for immunochromatographic, latex agglutination and turbidimetry tests.

  • dyed: enable to see colored bands without specific instrument on immunochromatographic tests. A large panel of colors is available (blue, red, black, yellow, green…).

  • fluorescent: photostable, and made in polystyrene or polyvinyltoluene. A large choice of fluorescent dyes, depending on the excitation and emission wavelength desired.

Focus on magnetic separation method

Linked to a molecule which is capable of recognising a specific target, the magnetic microsphere constitutes a choice reagent that allows molecules or microorganisms to be extracted by means of a simple magnet. Indicia Biotechnology put their expertise at your fingertips for the development of sample preparation methods in the framework of specific problem areas, particularly in industrial microbiology.
